Thanks!

A big thank you to everyone who attended our working bee yesterday morning. We got a lot done, moving approximately a billion wheelbarrows full of soil (or what felt like it!)

We managed to fill a lot of ruts along the trails, improving erosion issues and rider safety, and rebuild a couple water bars and a general touch up to the trails.

Our thanks to (and not limited to):

  • Sean
  • Nathan
  • James
  • Guy
  • Tracy
  • Tyler
  • Finn
  • Brody
  • Simeon
  • David
  • Darryl
  • Brady
  • Rhys
  • Lyall

We’ve also got lots of thanks for the team at Parks Vic and Level Crossing Removals Authority for helping with providing the soil for our works.

Working Bee – Sat 14th July

Grab your shovel, grab your wheelbarrow, it’s working bee time!

This Saturday, 14th July 2018, PGMTB will be hosting a working bee on two of the south side trails. Our main goals will be fixing up erosion that has occurred and a freshen up of the jumps. We will be working on the trails “Old DH” and “Carla’s Kitchen”.

When: 9:00am onwards at the top of Carla’s kitchen (Google Maps). Volunteers will need to sign in, please be on time.

What: Maintenance of the jump lines.

Who: Everyone is welcome.

What do I need to bring: Sturdy shoes, gloves and a good attitude. The club will provide some tools, if you have any of the following please feel free to bring them along: Wheelbarrow, Shovel, Rake. Maybe bring a bike for some product testing afterwards?

Parking: If driving to and walking your tools in please be respect of the local residents. We have recently heard complaints in Queens Gardens, Bundoora, of overcrowding in the street. Preference for parking is in Goolgung Grove, Greensborough adjacent to the park (Brinawa Reserve).
