The opportunity to provide feedback on the Plenty Gorge Masterplan is closing on January 15th. It would be great to have heard from as many of you as possible. Follow the link to our original post for more information:
The detailed planning assessment has been signed off for a section of the Plenty Gorge Park. That means it’s all forces go, no more approvals from up the chain in the Parks Victoria management required!!
This approval signifies the support of the whole of the Parks Victoria body behind mountain biking in Plenty Gorge Park. The club’s next steps will involve organizing and helping with:
- Cultural Heritage Assessment
- Environmental and Geotechnical Assessments
- Vegetation Offsets
- Signage Development
If you are keen on helping the club with any of these tasks, whether through expertise or enthusiasm, please get in touch, every bit counts.
Enjoy the holiday break and see you on the other side!

Parks Victoria has recently released the Draft Plenty Gorge Master Plan.
The plan has been created to help guide the future use of the park and is open for consultation until January 15th.
The master plan provides the opportunity for mountain biking in the south of the park, with details of our initial submission for trail formation in the Janefield North area. We hope to expand this in the future and all engagement from the mountain biking community showing support for further trail growth, facility construction or even simply signage installation can help improve the mountain biking experience in Plenty Gorge.
